Benchmarks
📊 Engagement metrics
To understand where we can go, it's worth observing the results obtained from what are considered the most successful interactive demos. Some interesting benchmarks to consider when measuring the performance of the top 25% of demos in the American market over the last three years are:
-
Engagement rate (% of users who scrolled past the first frame): 43.3%
-
Completion rate (% of users who scrolled to the last frame): 34.4% -
CTR (% of users who clicked the final CTA): 8.2% -
Average interaction time (dwell time): 1 minute and 48 seconds
8,2%
CTA click rate
📈 Specific implementations - public embed demo
The benchmarks above are for user-opened demos. A slightly different situation occurs with demos embedded in web pages with the public privacy setting, which causes the first frame to load as soon as the page opens, counting each page access as a view of the demo, even if the user has not actively interacted with the demo (unlike the views taken into account in the benchmarks). For these cases, we have the following averages (which take into account not only the quality of the demo, but also its implementation on the page - click-through rate is included):

-
Completion rate (% of users who reached the last frame): 4.92%

-
CTR (% of users who clicked on the final CTA): 1.4%
📈 Implementation metrics
Just as completion and CTA rates are essential to understanding the quality of your demo and its ability to retain viewers, it's crucial to look at the click-through or access rate for demos (very evident in implementations such as buttons on websites/landing pages or links in emails). The average Getdemo implementation is 9.7%, with the best reaching 18.4% (considering all use cases).
